Stronger Together
Supporting women’s mental health through trauma-informed, person-centred counselling, with a particular focus on pre and postnatal experiences.
Our Philosophy
Stronger Together is a counselling service created for women who want to feel heard, supported, and understood. This is a space where your experiences are respected, your pace is honoured, and your wellbeing is supported through an integrated understanding of mind, body, and lived experience.
Our work is grounded in trauma informed and person centred care, meaning that safety, trust, choice, and collaboration are central to every session. Rather than focusing on labels or diagnoses, we focus on you — your experiences, strengths, and capacity for growth.
We recognise that many women carry invisible emotional loads, particularly during pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. Our approach honours these realities and supports women in reconnecting with themselves, their bodies, and their inner resources.
Trauma-Informed, Person-Centred Counselling
What does trauma-informed mean?
Recognising that past or ongoing stress and overwhelm can impact how we think, feel, and respond. In practice, this means:
- Prioritising emotional and physical safety
- Working at your pace, without pressure
- Respecting your autonomy and choices
- Understanding responses as adaptations, not flaws
What does person-centred mean?
Placing you at the centre of the process. You are the expert in your own life. Sessions are collaborative and focus on:
- Your lived experience
- Your values and goals
- Your strengths and existing resources
I do not provide medical or clinical diagnoses. Instead, I support you in making sense of your experiences and developing greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Meet Your Counsellor
Silvia Tabarrani
I was born in Italy in 1984 and am bilingual in Italian and English. My professional background began in the beauty industry, where I developed a deep interest in well-being, self-esteem, and the connection between how we feel and how we inhabit our bodies.
Over time, this interest led me to retrain as a counsellor, with a focus on women’s mental health. In 2018, I began practising Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and witnessed first hand the powerful impact of movement on confidence, emotional regulation, and mental well-being.
In 2022, I became a mother — an experience that profoundly shaped both my personal life and professional focus. It gave me a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional, and identity shifts women experience during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
My work is trauma informed and person centred, with a strong interest in the mind–body connection. I focus on supporting women to reconnect with their strengths, sense of safety, and inner resources.
